Underground Tunnels
As you know if you've ever followed a tour guide around campus, many of the college buildings are connected to each other by underground tunnels. Where tunnels don't exist, there are often skyways instead. If it's raining, one can get from Morril/Burril all the way to the Chem Annex/Noyes Lab, FLB, and beyond without setting foot outside... it might require a set of keys, though. It's been a few years, and I had a few jobs on campus for which I had key cards and a ring full of keys. SO: I recommend that someone still at U of I spend a weekend exploring the tunnels with friends, take some photos, ask some questions of people who have been around town for awhile, and post the results here. Afterwards, reward yourself with a pizza at Timpone's.
